Exogenous engagement?

Cologne, 11 August 1996

Thanks to Tom Blancato for allowing me to sing an aria in his fantasy.

As to Robert Scheetz' often sardonic style, it doesn't much incline me to engage
in an interchange with him. It's all too easy to stand "exogenously" on the
sidelines casting aspersions about "ghettos", "kindergartens", etc., conjuring
up "Auschwitz/Hiroshima" and the like whilst engaging neither with central
issues in Heidegger's thinking nor with what list participants have taken the
effort to say in answer to his [Robert Scheetz'] posts.
