I'm just reading the Asia Times on the upcoming communist conference and power struggle between the top dogs. The reporter in the one article is mostly analysing wether Hu Jintao or Jiang
Zeming looks stronger on TV because it's a major issue given the age of these old men. Hu's attitude is described as reflecting great confucian virtue. Listen to this, " It won't even be surprising if Jiang exits as early as this month after the closed-door session of the party conference, or as late as whenever he expires. For more than 15 years, Hu has been waiting to exhale after Jiang's exit, and by now he must have acquired Confucian patience."
