Residents come together to draw up plan of action to
improve amenities

CHENNAI: Residents of more than 10 localities in north
Chennai have come together to draw up a plan of action
to tackle civic problems.
Tired of the authorities' inability to cope with
garbage disposal, management of solid waste, bad
roads, poor traffic regulation and lack of maintenance
of parks and grounds, a group of representatives met
at Exnora International's office in T. Nagar on
Tuesday to come up with a viable plan to make the
industrial belt a better place to live.
The areas include Ayanavaram, Villivakkam, Broadway,
Kodungaiyur, Vyasarpadi, Manali, Tondiarpet, Ennore,
Korattur, Perambur and Tiruvottriyur. The Exnora
representatives have taken up 12 focus areas where
they believe low awareness among residents about the
functioning of the civic body and lack of political
will is the reason for most problems...
