Learning Styles

As part of my current research into the potential for computer
assisted learning by design students, I am now turning my attention
to learning and cognitive styles.

I wonder if any subscribers to this list have knowledge of books etc.
which might be useful in understanding the differences between
students in their learning styles. I am particularly interested in
differences between arts based students (as opposed to science based
students), and ways in which software might be written to cope with
these cognitive differences.

Anyone have some ideas or experience of literature on these topics?

Thanks in advance for your help,
David
