Calma was one of the early Electronics CAD companies. They
were big back when the state of the art was software that
helped you draw polygons for chip and board layouts (as
opposed to drawing and cutting things by hand). GE bought
Calma at Calma's peak and gradually rode them into the
ground. They laid off some employees and sold most of
what was left of Calma to Valid (which has since been
acquired by Cadence).

I don't believe that Calma ever had any AEC applications.
However, my current employer, Itergraph, does have AEC aplications.
