There's no ethical issue at all, unless the initial agreement with between
client and architect stated that the building would be only be built
EXACTLY as drawn by the architect. There are very few clients, I imagine,
who are so unwise or so greedy for the brand-name reflected-glory of a
'famous architect' to agree to that one.

It's another example of the 'artistic fallacy' i.e. architects are
artists. Many errors follow from this very small mis-understanding; it was
not just Ayn Rand who got it wrong on this point.
