The address of the mailing list manager called LISTSERV and all of its
lists is being changed from PSUVM.PSU.EDU to LISTS.PSU.EDU. Administrative
mail, i.e. LISTSERV commands, directed to the server should now be sent to
LISTSERV@xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Mail meant for a mailing list should be sent to
list-name@xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Thus, mail for a list called EASY-L would now be
sent to EASY-L@xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Outgoing mail from the server to current
subscribers will continue to work although the various email headers will
reflect the new addressing scheme.
You can begin using this new address immediately. Mail *from* the server
will not actually show this new address until sometime next week.
The old PSUVM.PSU.EDU node will work in tandem with this new address until
June 30, 1997. After that time, mail directed to LISTSERV or a mailing
list at this node will be returned to the sender as undeliverable.
