The earliest date for the City Tower project is 1952, and is thus
contemporaneous with the Atomium of 1958.

In 1953, Fuller and his geodesic dome were elevated to international
prominence when the first conspicuous commercial geodesic dome was produced.
That structure was erected in answer to a Ford Motor Company problem
believed to be insoluble. [It seems Fuller's early experimentation of
geodesics began 1949.]
If zometools can generate riffs off the City Tower project that would be
great.
