Arthur,
Plagiarism and commonality seem to be often confused. Commonality, you could
say, derives from like circumstances like perhaps wavelengths, or linked
ancestry, or even going to art school in the 2000s versus going to art
school in the 1970s. Plagiarism is specific to utilizing stolen ideas and/or
not giving credit to a source, like Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture do
when they wax lyrical over Piranesi's Campo Marzio.
