coming-to-presence and passing-from-presence do not simple 'bound'
staendiges Anwesenheit but suffuse, interpenetrate, envelop and inflect it.
Which is one way of beginning to think the other beginning, in the epoch of
global technology -- the essence of technology, the Ge-stell, destines man
to think beings as standing presence paralyzed and petrified into Bestand,
stock, standing-reserve, oblivious to withdrawal and mystery, hence
oblivious to the granting, the gift.
