Italian Minister goes on Metro ride

...The Italian Minister for Infrastructure and
Transport, Pietro Lunardi, visited the Delhi Metro
railway on Monday, travelling from Central Secretariat
to Rajiv Chowk and back accompanied by the Italian
Ambassador here, Antonio Armellini. Mr. Lunardi, who
was escorted by the Managing Director of the Delhi
Metro Rail Corporation, E. Sreedharan...

"Italy has offered full co-operation and technical
know-how for expansion of Delhi Metro to enable the
Delhi Government to provide most reliable and modern
public transport system. ?Later in the day, Mr
Lunardi called on Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit
and appreciated the Government in providing largest
CNG public transport system in Delhi. Mr Lunardi
stated that his country would be happy to render
co-operation in areas of mutual interest including
assistance to further expand metro that would cover
