Yeah, Frank's little visit to the USSR definitely won him a warm spot in
Senator McCarthy's heart! I had read that text somewhere, some time ago,
and I recall that his remarks were awfully accomodating of the socialist
viewpoint. In my mind, this is just another example of Wright jumping into
something he shouldn't have (open mouth, insert foot!). It took him many
years to get around that, I imagine, but he got through scandals before, so
I guess he felt he could weather another!
