Re: designers for the eyes only ....

Patrick asks:
isn't there apparently a contradiction between storing
(historing) supposedly past events and modern-ism wich
refers to relatively recent events

Steve replies:
The 'Modern European History' course I attended in High
School (1971-2) started with the French Revolution. Perhaps
a better gauge of modernity is the presence of a flushable
toilet--Mod-Pot-On-The-Spot. Remember how the Space Shuttle
suddenly became very old-fashioned when it's toilet froze
up?

The term 'Modern' seems to have been replaced by
'Contemporary'.

I wonder is historians of the 25th century will still refer
to designs of the 20th century as 'Modern'.
