Re: care & Dasein

I think that H's choice of 'death' for a subject of study in _SZ_
rather than, say, love, is due to its constituting the outer
boundary, if you will, of Dasein. The point of this investigation
is to get Dasein 'as a whole' within our grasp - hence the focus
on death, which is the delimiting factor. Love, on the other hand,
exists _within_ an entire Dasein rather than as its boundary.

It might be more appropriate to ask 'why Angst, rather than love,'
instead of 'why death, rather than love.' In _Was ist Metaphysik_,
I think, Heidegger does mention love as one of the primordial
modes of the revelation of Being-in-the-world (I could be wrong
though, I don't have my text with me).
