As a third year B. Arch. student here at Ball State, which is a VERY design-
oriented school, we get:
3 semesters Arch. history
4 semesters Structures
2 semesters Building Technologies
2 semesters Environmental Systems
1 semester Integration of Technologies
1 semester Professional practice course
All at 3 credit hours each, plus 15 hours of architecture electives. That's
39 hours in "technical" courses out of a 165 hour degree (I won't count the
elective hours as the typical elective courses are design oriented.
Too much tech? I think not?
