nidhi, the 500 cr gift for dharavi came when wsf 2004
was on, and is first on list of things accompanying
the statement against housing-rights-events on it, got
forwarded for 'appropriate action' to Secy MoUD from
President Secretariat in February.
buzz now is probably because of what's in the rajya
sabha press release of 16.08.04 at
http://www.pib.nic.in/hrelease/h-release.asp?relid=1331
in mumbai i don't know who is tracking this round (it
goes back to PM grant in Rajiv Gandhi time).
in delhi, spa has at least one recent thesis. hudco
must have something since they hosted sparc after
mumbai model for delhi was announced in 2002. dda
also, since they said at action-aid night shelter do
at ihc in july 2003 on behalf of vc (now moud secy)
that they were studying it with hudco and then
announced 3 pilot projects.
in delhi this sort of thing is outright illegal
profiteering on public land and incapable of working.
rep about is pending hearing with standing
parliamentary committee since July 2003, while rajya
sabha has issued this press release in undp compliance
a day after ID.
